My talk Neptune and the Black Condition explores the theory that Black people and Black experiences fall under the rulership and influence of Neptune. In this talk, I explore known and novel faces of Neptune — like delusion, white-washing, suffering, slavery and media — and bear out parallels between these significations and the universal experiences of Black people, past and present, and the culture of Blackness itself. From the transatlantic slave trade, to the birth of hip-hop, Neptune has played a powerful role in shaping the humanity, value and gifts of black people. Neptune — it’s indelible magic, it’s ache, it’s longing, it’s proliferation, it’s transcendence — is in our DNA

Camille is an astrologer, musician, writer, civil servant from Washington, D.C. To her, Astrology is a marriage of the human condition with the cosmic condition. As above, so below. As below, so above. Over several years, she has seen hundreds of clients and has built a practice that celebrates that connection to the cosmos. Her consults are steeped in the soulful concepts & archetypal poetry of Evolutionary Astrology & are informed by the technical & traditional techniques of Hellenistic Astrology. When not consulting, Camille is writing about astrology for different publications, platforms and apps, or doing research for the #1 astrology podcast, The Astrology Podcast. Her primary body of work centers the intersection between astrology and the experiences of marginalized communities. Her passion is using the language of astrology to tell the stories of folks who are often overlooked and who have been denied access to this tool. She is proud to have been chosen to share aspects of this research for both the NORWAC and UAC conferences in 2026!

When eyeing difficult transits, a seductive and disempowering approach is to resign yourself to having to “get through it” or to simply “brace for impact.” Instead, with a little prudence and by taking the reins of your Free Will, you can consciously navigate challenging astrological weather with greater agency and grace. Enter rituals for remediation. The intention of such a remediation is to mitigate the harsher aspects of a transit and reap more of the constructive and beneficial possibilities. In this lecture, we will dive into specific rituals and practices to navigate the transits of the malefics and outer planets with greater elegance. We will also explore some interactive examples with attendees based on their current or upcoming transits. Bring a sense of creativity and be prepared to think outside the box!

The Lots of Fortune and Daimon (aka Spirit) offer powerful insight into material prosperity, well-being, and vocation. Calculated from the zodiacal relationships among the Sun, Moon, and Ascendant, these lots cast the light of the luminaries from the lived intersection of body, soul, and spirit. The Lot of Fortune describes the material circumstances and embodied experiences of the soul, associated with the Moon. The Lot of Daimon, linked to the Sun, points to the animating, immaterial force that calls us to express our purpose in the world. We will explore how to integrate both lots into astrological practice and how the planetary rulers of each lot reveal essential keys to understanding the natal promise.
Doors open at 7:00pm. Lecture starts at 7:30pm

Event Details
Zodiacal Releasing is a Hellenistic astrology timing technique that reveals the timing of pivotal events while offering a powerful framework for understanding your life story and the experiences that have shaped it. Unlike other timing methods, Zodiacal Releasing creates archetypal periods based on the Lot of Fortune and the Lot of Daimon (Spirit): the lunar and solar lots associated with material well-being and vocation. Beyond marking external developments, Zodiacal Releasing also times inner shifts of purpose and calling that lead to meaningful changes in life direction.
In this online workshop, you will learn the foundations of Zodiacal Releasing along with advanced techniques for integrating it into your astrological practice. We will explore the Lot of Fortune to assess periods of material prosperity and the Lot of Daimon to examine the unfolding of vocational calling as promised in the natal chart. As a time-lord technique, Zodiacal Releasing complements transits and progressions by offering a distinct relationship to time—one that frames life as a series of archetypal chapters, unfolding like seasons or episodes in a long-form narrative.
