Event Details

The malefics, Mars and Saturn, meet in the nebulous waters of Pisces in April 2024. Referenced by Austin Coppock as a “disaster predictor” this, astrological configuration occurs every 2 years and is then followed by a period in which planets transiting in its modality are besieged. We will:

Define malefics and besiegement
Explore Hellenistic and traditional perspectives of this aspect
Explore examples of Mars/Saturn transits
Predict what this transit will mean for us at an individual and collective level.

Will this trip through the malefic marsh be one where get stuck and sink or will it be a place of refuge?

Thursday’s lecture will be held online using Zoom. Those who’ve registered and paid will receive the link to the classroom an hour before the event.

Imani is an astrologer, Afrofuturist, and writer living and working in Haymarket, VA. She is student of Samuel F. Reynolds and the School of Traditional Astrology (STA) Horary Practitioner Certificate program. Her goal with astrology is to bridge gaps across social justice, climate justice, community building, and culture work with an interdisciplinary astrological lens. Her work includes speaking engagements for AFAN, Black Quantum Futurism’s Black Womxn Time Camp 004, Astromagia. As well as, published work in Root Work Journal, Sistories Literary Magazine, and Earth in Color; and commissioned astrological analysis for The Town Hall NYC.
