In today’s lecture I would like to share some of the most useful insights—both practical tips and life lessons—I have gathered from the past half century of astrological study. What are the most important principles and fundamentals we should grasp if we are to study and practice astrology at a high level? How can we live life more skillfully with the immense benefits and weighty privilege of an astrological understanding and its forecasting potential?

Richard Tarnas is Professor Emeritus of psychology and cultural history at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where he founded the graduate program in Philosophy, Cosmology, and Consciousness. He is the author of The Passion of the Western Mind and Cosmos and Psyche, which won the Book of the Year Award from the Scientific and Medical Network and is the basis for the documentary series about astrology and our times, The Changing of the Gods.
