What brought you to astrology?

My sister Lucy was already a practicing astrologer and gave me my first reading when I was 20—57 years ago and it has been with me ever since.

Who did you study astrology with?

I helped Lucy open a Metaphysical bookstore and astrology center in 1975 and studied astrology with Lucy and her partner Neil Carbon. They both helped me learn the trade of being a professional astrologer.

What is your specialty, or focus?

Consciousness growth is my primary interest and astrology is a perfect tool for helping people become aware of what they weren’t previously aware of.

What are your top 3 favorite astrology books?

Dane Rudyar’s Tryptych, and Stephen Arroyo’s Astrology, Karma, and Transformation have had the strongest influence on me and I have read them both many times. My favorite research book that I have used more than others is Robert Hand’s Planets in Transit. I also have found Steven Forrest’s The Inner Sky as influential in my development as an astrologer.

If you could have dinner with any historical astrologer, who would it be?

Dane Rudhyar, hands down.

Is there a planet, sign, or aspect you’ve been exploring lately that represents an archetype or energy that feels important to you right now?

Neptune is the planet that is my lynchpin. If I skillfully align with it with daily meditation, it leads to greater peace and acceptance of my life, but if I let it wander aimlessly, it leads to confusion and illusions—nothing but trouble.
