What brought you to astrology?
Growing up in Oklahoma and having an Indigenous background I had always heard stories that were intertwined with astrology and stars. When I became an adult, I realized I was still interested in astrology when I went searching for a non-traditional approach to therapy. This came after working in mental health.
Who did you study astrology with?
I studied astrology mostly solo but through the teachings of Jeffery Wolf Green.
What is your specialty, or focus?
I focus mainly on trauma, sexuality and family dynamics (conditioning). I have a specialty in asteroids.
What are your top 3 favorite astrology books?
Pluto Vol. I by Jeffery Wolf Green, Ceres by Mary Blue, and The Hades Moon by Judy Hall
If you could have dinner with any historical astrologer, who would it be?
Not many people know that Swami Sri Yukteswar was a Galactic Astrologer. If I could have dinner with one historical astrologer it would be him because he understood the Soul’s journey and why it chose to be born on a particular day, at a particular time, and in a particular place.
Is there a planet, sign, or aspect you’ve been exploring lately that represents an archetype or energy that feels important to you right now?
Not a planet, sign, or aspect. I have been exploring for the last year the archetype of the asteroid Medusa deeply. I feel this is very important in regard to how many Soul’s hide and choose to isolate themselves for fear of being misunderstood for their authenticity. How this asteroid not only reflects that dynamic but the dynamic of staying whole to yourself and utilizing what we deem as negative experiences in a positive way to empower ourselves and others.

Jordyn Smith is based in Massachusetts and discovered Evolutionary Astrology during her Saturn Return. Prior to finding Evolutionary Astrology, she worked with adolescent females who struggled with mental health and addiction by utilizing creative writing to help them work through their trauma and addictions. Jordyn also spent her time speaking at the local YWCA in her hometown of Oklahoma City to bring more awareness about the realities of domestic violence, which included being instrumental in getting a bill passed in Oklahoma that supports women and their parental rights. Jordyn has been utilizing Evolutionary Astrology to counsel clients for the past three years. She also has been teaching Evolutionary Astrology since 2021 in hopes to help others reconnect with their most natural and authentic selves by helping them to listen to their inner voice as opposed to making choices linked with their conditioning. She teaches on sexuality and trauma within the natal chart as it is an area she is passionate about helping others heal within themselves.
