My approach to astrology is trauma-informed and I have a deep passion for working with survivors including people in recovery.
I practice natal, horary, electional, and mundane astrology. I have a background in psychology and psychological approaches to astrology and synthesize this understanding with traditional astrological techniques. I have been certified with distinction by Demetra George in assessing planetary condition using Hellenistic Astrology. I have also been certified with distinction by the School of Traditional Astrology in horary astrology. In additional to Hellenistic and traditional forms of astrology, earlier in my practice I also learned evolutionary astrology from Jeff Green. I also practice electional astrology and astrological magic, and have completed a course from Austin Coppock in astrological magic in the past.
Justin Crockett Elzie is an Archetypal Jyotish Astrologer, Teacher, and Author. He combines both Western Ancient Astrology and Modern Psychological Astrology with Eastern Vedic Astrology. He specializes in Predictive/Electional, Mundane, and Karmic Astrology. His work with clients includes in-depth analysis of Natal Charts, Synastry Charts, and works with Progressions, Transits, and Planetary Returns. Using these he is able to link people together with their appropriate paths in life and what cycle they are in along with what is coming up in the future for them. With compassion he seeks to empower clients towards healing and helping them maximize their potential while at the same time offering healing or remedial modalities for psychological life issues. He also does Astrological research into arcane Astrological concepts, focusing on the mystical/occult side of Astrology.
I believe that all of the various astrological approaches have their value to the growing field of astrology. I also have affinity toward Psychological and Vibrational astrology as well. I don't draw fixed lines between them because I believe that astrology is an evolving art based on science. We only really understand a bare minimum of all there is to learn and understand about the ways our universe, galaxies, and our own solar system works. There are many solar systems existing in our universe and each has its own "personality". I am NCGR Level III and my primary interests personally are Medical Astrology, Harmonics, Solar Returns, and Astrocartography. Astrology is not an "overnight" adventure or practice. True results come through observation and experience over the long haul. We have centuries to learn from. I read and research, but my primary way of learning and drawing conclusions is through my own pragmatic experience along with observation of others' experiences as they grow through their lives.
My astrological studies began as a psychology undergraduate (1967-1971) with my earliest influence being Dane Rudhyar's "The Astrology of Personality" (because of its deep association with the work of Jung). I have been involved with astrology ever since then (over 50 years?!). My early love of science and geometry, combined with music studies, have led me to a modernistic view of astrology and a simultaneous respect for our ancient heritage. I am particularly interested in connecting our ancestral wisdom with modern science, which led me to write a series of essays over 30 years ago under the banner of "Quantum Astrology." Much of my current work is still about bringing our traditions into the modern world. I am a serious student of history am endlessly fascinated with the connection between evolutionary events for humanity and the corresponding planetary cycles.
I was the president of the WSAA (1992-1994), a founding trustee of Kepler College, and a member of the AFAN Steering Committee. I co-authored (with Jeff Jawer) eight years of the Barnes and Noble annual "Your Astrology Guide" (2006-2013). I wrote a daily horoscope column for over 20 years that was read my millions daily (published on Google.com, Yahoo.com, AOL.com, HuffingtonPost.com, Tarot.com, LATimes.com and more). Although I love to do individual client consultations, more time is spent on teaching online (YouTube, Astrology Hub, Patreon, etc), leading retreats (in India, Bali, Mexico, and the USA), and teach at conferences (UAC, NORWAC, ISAR, plus national conferences in the UK, Portugal, Serbia, India, Australia, Turkey, and Norway).
I am a full-time astrology and will remain so as long as I am alive. I am endlessly fascinated by the magic that astrology reveals. I am continuously amazed by how knowledge of astrology can improve our lives. I am forever indebted to astrology for the richness it brings to my life.

Laura is a second-generation astrologer, practicing and teaching astrology since 1987. She studied with Jeffrey Green from 1983-86. She is the owner/coordinator of NORWAC (The Northwest Astrological Conference), established in 1984. Her family began Astrology Et Al Bookstore, in 1975, which she managed from 1983-91. She was the Coordinator for UAC 02, Registrar for UAC 12, and the Coordinator for UAC 2018. She is the current President of the WSAA and a founding board member of Kepler College.
