Event Details
Often called “The Great Malefic,” “Lord of Karma,” or “The Great Task Master,” Saturn is easily one of the most maligned and misunderstood planets in astrology. What most people don’t know is that Saturn was also one of the earliest planets most consistently associated with mystics and contemplatives, as well as artistic genius, and innovative outsiders. In this lecture, we will look at the history of the planet Saturn in both modern and ancient times, with an eye for how this planet came to get its bad reputation as well as why Saturn, in addition to being an often challenging symbol, is also a planet of great depth, wisdom, and mystery.
Students can expect to leave this talk with an understanding of..
* The history of Saturn as a symbol in astrology
* Modern vs. traditional uses of Saturn as a symbol
* The mystical history of Saturn
* Chart Examples demonstrating the mystical nature of Saturn
