Most astrologers agree that natal chart interpretation is based upon the integration of planets, signs, houses, and aspects. Like Johannes Kepler, I believe that aspects are the most significant of these fundamentals. Although Kepler suggested we could eliminate the use of the zodiac entirely, that is an extreme position I do not share. Nevertheless, modern astrology is moving toward a deep reevaluation of aspects, including the integration of non-Ptolemaic aspects, including semisquares, sesquisquares, quincunxes, semisextiles. Additionally, the quintile, septile, novile, and eleventile series of aspects reveal hidden layers of meaning in chart interpretation.
