What brought you to astrology?
During my 1st Saturn Return, and beyond, I was in search of my life purpose, and began exploring astrology to understand why my Soul was here and what I came here to be and to do. I attended Astro 2000 in Denver, Colorado in 1999, when I was 33 years’ old, and it was there that I attended a Saturn lecture given by Jeffrey Wolf Green. It then became immediately clear to me what I wanted to do with my life and how I wanted to shine a light for others.
Pluto was conjunct my South Node, Mercury and Sun in Sagittarius.
Why do you practice astrology? What makes it juicy for you?
To help Souls evolve by working to remove the blocks in their life that are preventing optimal growth and joy. It is exciting to empower others to face their fears and live a more authentic life.
What is your specialty, or focus?
My focus is on the journey of the Soul, and in helping others understand what this lifetime is about, where their Soul has been prior, and where they are headed.
I have been writing a weekly column for 22 years so I also use the transits to illuminate the path ahead.
Is there a planet, sign, or aspect you’ve been exploring lately that represents an archetype or energy that feels important to you right now?
My central focus is the Pluto Paradigm in Evolutionary Astrology, starting with Pluto and the Nodes.
I also love working with the Goddess Asteroids, especially Lilith and Amazone, the female warrior.
What is your picture of astrology in the future?
With Pluto moving into Aquarius, I feel astrology will grow exponentially as we reach polarizing extremes on this planet, politically and environmentally, with many Souls seeking greater understanding to explain life in this world. I can see a growing wave of interest in using astrology as a compass and a guide to lead others more consciously into their lives and into the future.
Are there any additional comments you would like to make about your lecture and/or workshop?
My intention is to inspire others to join forces with the energies available during this powerful Aquarian time of transition.
If you discovered a new planet, or asteroid, what would you name it and why?
Avatara ~ which means the descent of a female deity from heaven to earth. In Hinduism, Avatar is the incarnation of a deity in human or animal form to counteract some particular evil in the world.
It represents a female spiritual warrior.
