Thursday’s lecture addresses next year’s astrological currents with jovial Jupiter entering indecisive Gemini on May 26th, intense Pluto retrograding back into stern Capricorn for the last time between September 2nd and November 19th, and mission-based Mars retrograding from proud Leo into concerned Cancer starting December 6th. Jenn will explore with us questions and topics such as:
- What amazing new inventions and cultural forms will we see unleashed as Jupiter conjoins Uranus on April 21, 2024?
- What can we expect out of the total solar eclipse going across the US on August 23, 2024?
- And what reflections will the waxing squares of Jupiter to Saturn (August and Dec) cast on what we’ve gone through since their conjunction in Aquarius in 2020?
In addition to discussing the year’s transiting planetary weather, Jenn will explore the ways that the lesser-known minor dignity of bound (or term) rulership may have an effect on how things actually, physically show up throughout the course of 2024. Jenn questions, “How can we bring back one of the major tools of the classical astrologers that has been relegated to ‘minor’ status in meaningful ways for us now?”
She’ll also bring a menu of synodic cycles that the transits of 2024 link up with, in order to give you some anchor points for contextualizing this coming year in your personal astrological history.

Jenn Zahrt PhD is an author, publisher, and teacher of cultural astronomy and astrology. In 2017 she was appointed as an Honorary Research Fellow at the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. She researches the many forms of astrology emergent across human cultures past and present, with a special focus on early twentieth century German culture. She has taught and lectured domestically and internationally in places such as Canada, the United Kingdom, and Germany. She is the founder of Revelore Press, creative director of the Sophia Centre Press and the deputy editor of the peer-reviewed journal Culture and Cosmos. In 2020 she became the Senior Editor of The Mountain Astrologer, and in 2021 she founded the Celestial Arts Education Library Institute in Olympia, WA, where she currently lives.
