What brought you to astrology?
I like to say it found me. When I was working in healthcare, back around my first Saturn return, my boss gave me “The Only Astrology Book You’ll Ever Need” during a performance review. I was already curious about it, but that lit the spark that just continues to grow.
Why do you practice astrology? What makes it juicy for you?
It helps me understand myself and life – and understanding changes everything. It’s also one of the best ways I know to get in sync with yourself, discover the “why,” and consciously grow. I think our #1 “job” on this planet is to be who we are more fully, honestly, and authentically. Astrology is a doorway into the heart of ourselves; into that beautifully complex yet simple self.
What is your specialty, or focus?
My main focus is helping people work with astrology to understand more about life/energy, themselves, and their desire for growth at the deepest level.
Is there a planet, sign, or aspect you’ve been exploring lately that represents an archetype or energy that feels important to you right now?
On my last birthday I chose to live Uranus 1st, so I’m in the Uranian field. I’m learning more about the art of objectivity which is extra fun for my Cancer-self. “Revolution,” and what that really can mean has taken on new context – not just in my head. Things have already been going pretty “crazy.” I remind myself I chose it (:
What is your picture of astrology in the future?
Something kids learn in grade school and offered as a mainstream college major.
Are there any additional comments you would like to make about your lecture and workshop?
I’m super passionate about the technique or practice Living Planets 1st – choosing a planet (part of yourself) as a filter or lens through which to experience life. I’ve been doing this for years now. It helps me learn about the planets more experientially and discover my own flavor or version of the planets. It has also radically opened doors and changed my perspective. Every time I live a different planet 1st, my life changes (and I change) to reflect and embody more of that planet’s energy. Or maybe I just see it for the first time. Either way, it’s pretty cool
If you discovered a new planet, or asteroid, what would you name it and why?
I don’t know.
