What brought you to astrology?
My sister Lucy was already an astrologer and gave me my first reading for my 20th birthday (53 years ago!). I was immediately hooked as it gave me a map to my inner world and realms of consciousness I was interested in exploring. I was a second grade school teacher at that time and realized I was more interested in my students astrology than I was with their math scores!
Why do you practice astrology? What makes it juicy for you?
I call myself a blue collar astrologer in that I like to work with clients everyday, and I am still amazed at how accurate and helpful astrology readings are for my clients. Astrology never fails to offer accurate and insightful information.
What is your specialty, or focus?
I have always been drawn to the outer transpersonal planets and their impact on peoples lives. Helping clients become aware of influences they were previously unconscious of is particularly rewarding. Helping clients with timing issues with their transits and progressions is likely what my clients find most helpful.
Is there a planet, sign, or aspect you’ve been exploring lately that represents an archetype or energy that feels important to you right now?
I have my Sun and Mercury in the twelfth house and have always been interested in mysticism, spirituality and consciousness growth, and thus have always been drawn to Neptune as a doorway to transcendent realm.
What is your picture of astrology in the future?
The interest in astrology will continue to mushroom with the growing Aquarian planetary influences, and even more so as Pluto moves into Aquarius in 2023-24. The growth in interest in astrology is particularly strong in the younger generations which will bring fresh perspectives into the field, keeping astrology vital
Are there any additional comments you would like to make about your lecture and workshop?

If you discovered a new planet, or asteroid, what would you name it and why?
I would most certainly call it Shanti, goddess of peace and my dog’s name! Most certainly for the wish/prayer of peace’s growing influence on on our troubled planet.
